My first book on one of my longtime favourite subjects. ‘The Art of Cake’ profiles la crème de la crème of desserts from around the world; including their heavenly flavours, histories, and significance in every culture. From the humble bundt cake to a towering croquembouche– and many in between. The book evolved from observing cakes on my travels and from time spent in France growing up; where a ‘special treat’ from the patisserie was always used as a bribe.
